Chateau Latour 1986

My brother-in-law who lives in Florida, gifted me a Chateau Latour 1986.  He did it so casually that I didn’t register it.  Now that I have it sitting with me, I am dying to drink it with a few wine lovers.  And since I have never drunk a Grand Cru wine, I googled it to discover that it was a $1000 wine.  Wine lovers will say that judging a wine by its price tag is very crude.  But frankly, I have no other standard by which to judge it, having never tasted such wines.

I prefer to spend money on experiences rather than objects, but gosh, even I feel bad about drinking up such an expensive wine in one evening.  Middle class values, I suppose.  I’ll tell you how it goes.
