Teaching IIM 2012

Dear Students:

This is our EPGP 2012 batch class-page for the Good Life class.  It was nice to meet you all this morning.  Over the next few weeks, we are going to explore some of the topics we discussed and learn from each other.  Feel free to add your thoughts, comments, and feedback.  Like I said, the grading will be based on the following: 40% classroom interaction, 40% final presentation, and 20% short essays that you will write during the course.  If you have any questions, please ask, or you can post it here.  Thanks and looking forward to getting to know you all.

Here is a breakup of the modules.

    Dear Ma’am,
As a student of Good Life, I expect to learn the softer aspects of Business – aspects that are useful beyond the board room. For the lack of better words, it would help a lot to learn some tips and frameworks on conversation starters in informal Business dinners, managing the flow of conversations and some basic knowledge about:
    1. The nuances of fine dining with some emphasis on the latest trends such as Molecular Gastronomy
    2. Wining – specifically about how to “talk” wines since wine critique requires lots of practice and hence, to a certain extent, a lot of money
    3. The dos and don’ts of conversations about Art, Travel, Architecture and Design

    Warm Regards,
    Nikhil Verma

  3. Testing to see if this works
